The CS Management Team

Dale Colosky
President, CEO and Founder

Dale Colosky has held executive management positions with several industrial manufacturers including General Motors and Grayhill and also managed a Regional Manufacturing Consulting practice for Ernst & Young. In 1980, Dale founded Computer Strategies, a software manufacturing and consulting firm that developed and deployed the first MRP system specifically designed for highly repetitive/JIT and automotive manufacturers, including Chrysler, Whirlpool, Renault, Johnson Controls, AMC and Textron. Later acquired by Cullinet Software, the company Dale founded continues to operate and grow within the automotive division of Agilisys.

Dale holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University and an M.B.A. from Loyola University. He is a frequent writer and speaker at APICS, AIIE and AICPA functions. He is also an active board member at Speedgrip Chuck, Inc. and Integrated Parking Solutions.


Gene Thomas
Founder Emeritus

As a founder of Logia Business Systems, Gene Thomas was an integral part in the merger with Frontline Systems to create Configuration Systems & Consulting. Formerly an IBM product marketing executive, in the early 60's he invented the Bill-of-Material Processor (BOMP), initiated the first two packaged MRP systems (LAMP & PICS), and a real-time ATP (available to promise) application, all designed to streamline manufacturing processes. Gene is also a former founding partner of MRM, Friedman, and Thomas-Laguban Assoc.

Gene remains active within Configuration Solutions as a key advisory board member and independent consultant, and maintains his own MRP historical/prognostication blog as: http://mrp-to-lean.blogspot.com/

Gene holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and is a frequent speaker at AMS, AIIE, SME, Kalthoff, FLOW and APICS functions.


Rob Reimer
V.P. Account Management and Business Development

Rob brings to Configuration Solutions more than 10 years of experience in IT and manufacturing. Prior to joining Configuration Solutions, Rob had his own law practice specializing in intellectual property rights for technology and manufacturing companies. It was in this capacity Rob first became involved with Logia Business Systems. He eventually joined the company as CEO and led the merger with Frontline Systems to create Configuration Systems & Consulting. Rob is now focused on Sales and Account Management, ensuring that our clients continue to exploit the advantages of our CS-Enterprise Configuration System and that current and future product development and enhancements are aligned with their business requirements and long-term objectives.

Rob received his B.A. from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, where he is currently pursuing his L.L.M. and M.S. degrees in Information Technology.


Ryan Colosky
V.P. Sales and Marketing

Ryan Colosky joined Configuration Solutions in March 1998 as Sales Manager of Application Products. He is currently responsible for growing the business through both direct and indirect sales channels by creating win-win partnerships using e-CS-Enterprise to complement and complete other CRM, ERP, CAD and PDM offerings. Prior to joining Configuration Solutions, Ryan was involved in building and expanding distribution networks as a Regional Sales Manager for the Wayne Division of Dresser Industries, a Halliburton Company and had previously held several positions including Regional Sales Manager, National Accounts Manager and New Business Development/Product Manager from 1990 to 1996 for Petro Vend, Inc., a Dover Resources Company.

Ryan holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Colorado State University.


Tom Burr
V.P. Product Development

Tom has more than 20 years of experience in IT product development, management and implementation. Prior to joining Configuration Solutions, Tom led ERP implementations for a variety of manufacturing industries and managed product development for an EDI company. Tom's responsibilities at Configuration Solutions have included customer support, project consulting and implementation. He designed and led the conversion of the CS-Enterprise Solution from DOS to a client-server Windows-based platform and recently completed a project to further develop the technology in a thin client Web-based application. Today, Tom is focused on application development and enhancement of Web technologies to optimize and enhance configuration performance and functionality.

Tom holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Aquinas College.


Dave Norris
V.P. Client Services

Dave brings over 20 years of management and consulting experience in IT technologies to Configuration Solutions. With a background focused on ERP selection and implementation and the development of manufacturing software applications for the "to-order" marketplace, Dave manages the implementations for many of Configuration Solutions' clients. Dave is now focused on e-application architectures and functionality, as well as design strategies for the integration of e-CS-Enterprise with multiple ERP, CRM, PDM, CAD and e-commerce applications.

Dave is a graduate of Western Michigan University and holds a B.A. in Business Administration/Computer Systems.


Jim Foulkrod
V.P. Product Development - Automotive Systems

As a founding partner of Helix Technology Group, Jim Foulkrod joined Configuration Solutions as an integral part of the acquisition of Helix. Jim has over 25 years of experience in providing automotive suppliers with successful systems. As a systems manager, Jim has overseen the development and/or implementation of ERP, SPC, Engineering Change, Capacity Planning, Program Tracking and Financial Control Systems. During his tenure at Helix, Jim and his team developed, sold and implemented successful Program Management, Change Management and Account Management systems for a large number of major automotive suppliers.

Jim holds a B.A. degree in economics and an M.B.A. in Finance from University of Detroit.


Sue Knowlton
Sr. Enterprise Consultant

As a founding partner of Helix Technology Group, Sue Knowlton developed and implemented product development management systems for a large number of major automotive suppliers. Sue joined Configuration Solutions as part of the acquisition of Helix. With over 20 years of systems development experience, primarily in the automotive industry, Sue led the development of groundbreaking technologies which enable the integration of user friendly Microsoft Office™ tools with enterprise databases over the internet. Her implementation, consulting and high-tech skills combine to bring incredible breadth and vision to challenging systems projects.

Sue holds a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Oakland University and Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
